Copper Flower

Last Thursday (March 22) I went to the second class of “The Art of Caregiving – for caregivers” That day, we made a flower from the thin sheet of copper and the stem from the copper wires. It involved, cutting the flower petals, putting design on the face and bending them in wooden molds by slightly tapping with a hammer. The process was very engaging and it reminded me of my high school and engineering college day. I was in the technical high school and later on in the Engineering college where we had Workshop period in which we made objects from the metal, wood, etc.

Last weekend (March 23, 24 and 25), Parini came home from LA. It was a very good visit. There were few engaging moments between Parini and Sumi. Peggy came over on Saturday evening which allowed Parini and me to go and see the movie “Black Panther” which was released recently and it has been a box office hit. Later in the evening, Parini and I watched the University of Michigan win collegiate basketball game and advance to the semifinal.

Yesterday, we went to Raksha and Devanshu for our Monday night dinner. They recently put their Sankheda swing in the kitchen area. Sumi sat in the swing and gently swayed the swing with her feet for almost 3 hours while we were at their house. I felt relaxed and enjoyed the evening and the delicious food - masala dosa, medu vada, chutney and sambar.
